2170926 Blacks have been stomped for 200 years in the US. Fighting our wars and coming home to disgusting threats by thier own citizens, At least we can see the problem. My brother says, "Why do they complain so much?" The answer is because there is still work to do. To step a few steps in their shoes. Next we will work to give the mentally ill the health care they deserve. No body wants to be gay, black or mentally ill. We can afford it.

The last sentence makes me want to explore geothermal, hydroelectricity, tidal generation and biomass cultivation. Global warming will be the catalyst.
Another problem is overpopulation. Earth run by robots with humans as paid performance artists. Let's hope super intelligence solves the problem.

I'm looking for the vi you can apply a formula to an image. Working the problem is the focus.
Would have looked at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computational_geometry
but no formula
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_quantization
has at least a formula
The bigger picture
Decide the method, manipulate the image, and apply the color.
Using a sweeping method of application would shorten the paint cycle and look more like a stroke.

I had six beers in my pockets when I entered and then things changed for life.
Chuck Lohre In 1970 I would walk from our home in Park Hills up Vine St. to the Golden Triangle at midnight. I guess I walked home, I don't remember.

Knowledge of history rewards everyone. My diligent study of history reveals that focus on my own history can be rewarded by continued study.
To change via the study of history is difficult.
To change via the study of oneself is possible.
All change is 2/3’s emotion.
Emotion could be exercising.

Work continues on getting the lease for a 4’ x 6’ closet gallery on Ludlow Avenue between the Esquire Theater and Sitwell’s Coffee House.

Instead of landscapes with little figures on the manner of the greats Tom wants to use the figure prominently.
Not unlike Kevin Larmee www.larmee.org
Or Bill Petrie http://madwillow.com/Stars%20For%20His%20Crown.htm
It is taking a big chance but better to stick your neck out to get it cut off than to forever regret you did not.

Playing the Stones, Parachute Woman and Stray Cat Blues over and over for six months completely through my skiing accident and knee replacement is art analyzed without life, possessing me to representing life.

Tom is interviewed on the street in New York City on March 23, 2010, after the passing of the Reconciliation Bill in the house on Health Care Reform. The question was, "Do you think the bill will increase the deficit?"

090813 It’s always better to have a nervous breakdown in a clean house than a dirty one.

090803 Twitter will replace news. The major players in a news story will twitter each other and we will be blocked from contributing but will be able to see what they say.

090714 I am running for office. It is not an elected position, it is the position of being your portrait painter. You do much the same as running for office, going to every public event possible always looking for people you know and people your recognize.

080407 Yes, I have dragged myself out of town to the Dilly Deli. Meeting a young enthusiastic artist to see her portfolio. She had quite a portfolio. It was as if she and me had been dragged together through life. She so young and boisterous, I so reserved and methodical we met. Our enjoyment the same we became fast friends. Friends so together, in the same boat, our destination the same. So amazed and convinced I was drawn into the hell of heaven I jumped ship. I would rather swim ashore, alone to my family than spend eternity with such a wench of a God.

0802 The next world war will be one of enviroment. The countries who are abusing the planet will be attacked by the consevationists. Al Gore will become a prophet.

071008 I have rekindled the manner of the first robot drawings. Strong color combined with strong lighting makes a pleasant graphic work.

070917 The robot is finishing a piece every week. It takes a day or two to set it up and then the rest of the week to complete it. I am trying to use the basic colors of a distill image to achieve the best results from the limited 8 colors of the robot, red, yellow, black, white, violet, turquoise, blue and green. I started working on Drew’s portrait. I painted five en plein air works so far in September. My transparent impressionist technique is different and charming.

070711
The robot is finally working on it debut masterpiece. All the kinks have been worked out and now it runs though the ten hours it takes to produce a 16” x 20” painting in sections of time in the studio. Getting preliminary approval for a City of Cincinnati Individual Art Grant has strengthened my drive to surmount all obstacles.

070424 Finally I am back painting Drew's portrait. I have been going out and working on the background while bringing along Drew's seersucker suit on the mannequin I have. Eventually I will complete the background and go on to the suit. The weather has been perfect. I have been studying the canal that used to go along the west and north side of Clifton. I'll be painting views of the city with the canal back in soon. The robot has made leaps and bounds and soon will be completing a 16” x 20” painting with 1500 dots of color taking 10 hours. The machine is a lot like a man working at a lathe. I was talking to a downtown resident the other day and he was going on about how the bums come right up to you and that your car is not safe and I got to thinking that this sounds just like New York City where I lived for twenty years. Even if you lived on the upper west side you always have to lock your car, say no to the beggars and keep within arms distance from your children. I do not think you should expect anything different in downtown Cincinnati. It’s hard to believe that somebody is really different than another. If one person is a star there may be another person you know who is like them but not a star. I always enjoy my friends who act like stars but do not have the credentials. One persons work is just as great as another’s if you enjoy it no matter who they are or how famous they are. If you see art and like it then great. The art caught by the famous curators and gallery dealers is no better than the art you catch. The artist and curators job is to invite you.

070312 There will come a time when Al Gore will be considered a Prophet. Think back to the time of Christ, the world was going through big changes. In many ways it was scientific revolution. Well in the future, when the planet has undergone major changes because of man a new rule will be declared. Not just treat your fellow man as you would yourself but leave the planet better than you found it. At that time the calendar will be rolled back to one and a new era will declared.

Where is the sacrifice? When 1 AD turned around they stopped sacrifice in the temple. THe prophecy had been fulfilled. THe temple was destroyed and now the Jews meet in the meeting palace, a synagogue.

Art Museums are the death. The few artist they represent are only the surface of the great art experiences that are out there. Great is everywhere. Even the most incapable of persons can create a true masterpiece. Even your friends can embulate the greatest people. Why desire know a star when one is right next to you?

Someday people will fly around in light weight dragonfly like rubber muscle like backpacks. Everyone will lose weight because you can't fly when you're heavy.

I wanted a trailable sailboat to take to Lake Erie and East Hampton but then a houseboat studio on the Ohio River but it ended up being a pavillion type tent to paint in.

Lyrics from a song Marlene Dietrich sang in "The Blue Angel": If it isn't pain, Then it isn't Love, If it doesn't drive you insane, It can't be love, If it's not a flame, Burning night & day, Then it's nothing more than a game, I'm not that way, My heart never was taken, My heart never was taken.

Tom paints a commission in the Bronx, October 2006.
