Harold B. Dix, Sr. of Swansea, died July 12, 1977 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville.
Surviving are his wife, Arleen; a son, Harold B. Dix Jr. of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Mary Ferguson of Caholia and Dixie Lee Dix of East Carondelet; a step-daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Ott of Belleville, a sister, Leona Beil of Belleville, a step brother, Glen Miles of Freeburg; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Dix was a former employee of Empire Stove Company in Belleville. He was a WWII Army veteran; a member of WWII Disabled Veterans; and member of VFW Post 1739.
Funeral services were held at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Belleville. Burial was in Green Mount Catholic Cemetery. Respects at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home in Belleville. VFW service will be at 7 P.M. Thursday. |
