| J. Laurence McCoy, 85, of Cahokia, died Wednesday August 1, at his home. He was a retired inspector for the Army Corp of Engineers. He was a World War I veteran. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Cahokia. He was preceded by hes wife, the former June Godin, and a son Bill McCoy. He is survived by one son, Howard McCoy of Cahokia and one daughter, Mrs Wayne (Lois) Smith of Los Angeles, Ca.; two brothers, Clarence McCoy of Horatio, Ark., and George McCoy of Phoenix, Arizona, and a sister of Denver Colorado,; five grandchildren and great-grandchild. funeral services are pending in Horatio, Ark.
